1. Who We Are
altavora.com is run by Altavora LTD, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 17334630), registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. Altavora LTD is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at contact@altavora.com.
2. Data We Collect
When you place an order or contact us: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number (if given) and order details. Card and PayPal payments are handled by Shopify and the payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. If you sign up for offers: your email address. Automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and cookie data.
3. How We Use Your Data
To process and deliver your orders and subscriptions, handle returns and refunds, answer your messages, prevent fraud, keep our accounting and tax records, and improve the website. We only send marketing emails if you have signed up, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal Basis
Under UK GDPR we use your data to perform our contract with you (your order), to meet legal obligations (for example tax records), for our legitimate interests (running and improving the shop, preventing fraud), and with your consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies).
5. Who We Share It With
Only with services that help us run the shop: Shopify (our store and checkout platform), payment providers, delivery companies, our email provider, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising measurement if you accept those cookies. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep your basket and checkout working. With your permission we also use analytics and advertising cookies (including the Meta pixel) to understand how the site is used and to measure our ads. You can change your choice at any time or block cookies in your browser settings.
7. How Long We Keep It
Order and accounting records are kept for 6 years, as UK law requires. Marketing sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Other data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.
8. Your Rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for a copy to move elsewhere, and withdraw consent at any time. Email contact@altavora.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
